Would you like to carve your own one of a kind silver ring? With a personal touch, texture and meaning? Join us with jeweller Ami Pepper for a unique creative evening at the Forge making your own bespoke ring.
During the workshop with Ami you will be carving your very own unique ring using jewellers wax with a selection of tools. Wax is a fantastic material for sculpting, mark making, and texturing, so you can translate your inspirations directly onto the material.
Your bespoke wax ring will be cast in silver in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter using the lost wax casting process. Ami will then hand-finish your ring and post back to you.
Notes: A custom wax ring blank, casting and p&p is included in the ticket price. You will on the evening be able to upgrade to a wide ring (+£20) or add Yellow gold plating (+£25)
Born in Pembrokeshire West Wales Ami’s collections of unique sculptural pieces of jewellery explore the intricate cluster formations of shells. Ami’s inspiration and love of shells derives from her childhood memories of beach combing along the Pembrokeshire coast.
Ami began her studies on the foundation course at Central Saint Martin’s and went on to graduate with a first class BA(Hons) from the prestigious School of Jewellery in Birmingham in 2013.
Since graduating Ami has grown to be an award winning jeweller exhibiting at the UK’s premier exhibition of fine contemporary jewellery at Goldsmiths’ Fair.
