The Forge is a historic industrial space built in the mid 1800’s. It was originally a coach house & then a blacksmiths. And it was a working Forge up until it was bought and renovated in 2015 by musician/builder Si John and designer/photographer Silkie Lloyd. Accessed via a small back lane just off Colston street, it sits high above the old Bristol centre on huge Victorian butresses with a view of St Johns gate & the old city wall. Sensitively renovated, the Forge holds onto it's historic providence. The few added bits feel like they've been there forever. By day the space is filled with light and by night the gentle sound of the city surrounds it.
Si & Silkie live in south Bristol with their two teenage sons.
