A day of floral play & botanical painting brought to you by KIN. A chance to meet like minded people, nurture your creative souls and learn a few new skills on the way
K I N was founded by florist Grace May and Illustrator Rosie Harbottle, born out of a mutual love of nature, colour and all things botanical. The duo, inspired by their time working together in Morocco had a dream of bringing like-minded people together, to create, learn, gather and grow, enriching their creative souls and nurture their passion for learning.
In the morning after chats & tea Grace will begin with a floral class in how to make a floral crown, using fresh seasonal produce. Students will be guided through the making process by Grace who will teach the technique of the floral crown but allow the individuals creativity to take the reins.
The outcome -
a floral crown making process you can use time & time again, one that will change & develop through the seasons & over time, to have fun & a great photo op!
Rosie will begin the botanical paintings workshop using your previously made floral crowns as inspiration. You will be encouraged to try different techniques and develop mindfulness to capture the foliage in front of you. Beginners and practiced draftsmen welcome.
The outcome -
Gaining confidence in using and experimenting with watercolour, a chance to try something new or simply a space for you to create. You will have some beautiful sketches to take home, cherish and inspire you.
Throughout the day you will be encouraged to style & photograph the things you make
A delicious seasonal lunch will be served at our long table.
